…the Founder
Benjie Colberg
I graduated from Denison University in 2015 with degrees in Economics and Communication, where I captained the Men’s Varsity Lacrosse team. I then spent nine years at Christ School, an all-boys boarding and day school near Asheville, North Carolina. There, I worked in admissions, taught classes, coached soccer and lacrosse, lived in the dorms, served as Dean of Campus Life, developed strategic plans, led campus wide reform task forces, and was part of the senior leadership team. I earned my Masters in Independent School Leadership from the Peabody School of Education at Vanderbilt University in 2021.
During that time, I took a year to complete the Trinity Fellows Program, a vocational discernment fellowship focused on self-discovery through tools like the Enneagram, Myers-Briggs, and most importantly the Highlands Ability Battery. This experience, combined with 9 years spent gaining a true understanding of the hopes and dreams of young men through my coaching and mentoring, inspired me to start Timshel Personal Consulting.
For the past six years, I have designed and led workshops on team building, leadership, and social-emotional development for students and adults. I’m passionate about helping young men understand their natural strengths so they can make confident, informed decisions about their futures. I am confident that we can equip our young men to find their given strengths so that they find joy in bringing real value to their communities. I have also learned that adults haven’t often been given the gift of objective self-knowledge, and when they acquire it, their lives can change in wonderful ways.
My wife Ali and I live in Asheville with our dog Tyro. In the winter of 2026, we’ll move to Charlottesville, Virginia, where I’ll begin as Lacrosse Program Director at The Covenant School.
